In the dense night, when the moon rises, those who live in a monotonous daily life without water are hypnotized by the powers of Yemaya, the goddess of the sea.



  • Everlane Moraes is a documentary filmmaker, graduated from the International Film and TV School (EICTV — Cuba), specializing in documentary direction. She holds a degree in visual arts from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS — Brazil) and is founder and co-director of the creative group of authors A IRMANDADE FILMES. Member of A.P.A.N. (Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals). Moraes works with the philosophical concepts linked to the socio-cultural issues of the black diaspora in search of portraying the identities and subjectivities of her characters. Her cinematographic work has been shown at several film and art festivals in Brazil and abroad, including the Sundance Film Festival, Toulouse Film Festival, BFI, London Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, Documenta Madrid and the Human Rights Exhibition of Latin America, among others.
